Overview

The Settings section in CrickTeams is where managers configure and manage everything about their club β€” from the club profile and address to player invite links, fees, permissions, features and subscription plans. Only managers have access to Settings.

Settings is divided into six sub-sections, each covering a different area of club management:

  1. Log in to CrickTeams as a Manager
  2. Click Settings from the left navigation menu
  3. The Settings menu expands to show all sub-sections
  4. Click General to open the General settings page

General Settings

The General settings page is the main profile page for your club. This is where managers set up and maintain the club’s identity β€” including the club name, contact email, website, address and public visibility.

Changes made on this page are visible to all club members and can affect how new players discover and join your club.

What Happens When Public Search is Enabled

  • Your club appears in CrickTeams public club search results
  • New players who are not yet in any club can search for and find your club
  • They can submit a join request which appears in the View Join Requests panel on the Players page
  • The manager must approve or reject each join request β€” players are not added automatically
  • Your club name, photo and location may be visible to people outside your current membership

What Happens When Public Search is Disabled

  • Your club does not appear in public search results
  • New players can only join via a direct email invite or the private invite link shared by a manager
  • Existing members are not affected β€” they can still access the club normally

Invite Players β€” Public Invite Link

The Invite Players section at the bottom of the General settings page gives managers a shareable public invite link. This is the same link available from the Players page and can be shared with anyone to invite them to join the club.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can access and edit Settings?

Only managers can access the Settings section. Players do not see the Settings menu in their navigation and cannot change any club settings.

What is the difference between enabling public search and sharing the invite link?

Enabling public search makes your club appear in CrickTeams’ built-in club search so players can find it themselves. The invite link is a direct URL you share manually via WhatsApp, email or any other channel. Both methods result in a join request that the manager must approve β€” players are not added automatically either way.

Will enabling public search add players automatically?

No. Enabling public search only makes your club discoverable. When a player finds and requests to join via public search, their request appears in the View Join Requests panel on the Players page. The manager must manually approve or reject each request.

Can I change the club name?

Yes. Go to Settings β†’ General, update the Name field and click Update. The new name will be reflected across the app for all club members immediately.

Does the invite link change if I update the club settings?

No. The invite link is permanent and unique to your club. It does not change when you update other settings. You can share it at any time and it will always work.

Can I have multiple managers update Settings at the same time?

Settings can be accessed by all managers but there is no collaborative editing β€” the last manager to click Update will overwrite any previous unsaved changes. Communicate with your co-managers before making changes to avoid conflicts.

Why are my changes not saving?

Make sure you click the Update button at the bottom left of the General settings page after making any changes. Changes are not saved automatically β€” if you navigate away without clicking Update all changes will be lost.
