Subscription
Overview
The Subscription page under Settings shows the club’s current plan, feature inclusions, live usage metrics for every limit on the plan, and available upgrade options. Managers can switch between Monthly and Yearly billing, upgrade their plan, cancel, or manage billing details from this page.
This guide covers how to read the subscription page, the differences between Free, Pro and Premium plans, how usage bars work, how to upgrade, and billing validations.
To access Settings — Subscription:
- Log in to CrickTeams as a Manager
- Click Settings from the left navigation menu
- Click Subscription from the Settings sub-menu

Current Plan
The top section of the Subscription page shows the club’s active plan. It includes the plan name, status badge (Active), renewal date, included features, and action buttons.

Usage
The Usage section shows live progress bars for every metric tracked against the club’s plan limits. Each bar shows current usage vs the plan maximum (e.g. 2/5 for Tournaments). Bars fill from left to right as the club uses more of its allowance.

CrickTeams offers three plans. Pricing is available on monthly or yearly billing — yearly billing saves 38% compared to monthly.
Free Plan
The Free plan gives clubs access to essential features with limited usage caps. No payment required.

Monthly vs Yearly
Managers can switch between Monthly and Yearly billing on the Subscription page using the toggle above the upgrade cards. Yearly billing is shown with a Save 38% badge.

Cancel Plan & Manage Billing
These buttons appear on the current plan card for Pro and Premium subscribers.

Validations
The following rules apply to the Subscription page and plan management.

| Upgrade is immediate | Upgrading to Pro or Premium takes effect instantly — new limits and features are available immediately |
| Cancellation at period end | Cancelling a paid plan keeps it active until the current billing period ends; the club does not lose access mid-cycle |
| No data loss on downgrade | Reverting to Free preserves all data; only new additions are restricted by lower limits |
| Usage bars are real-time | Progress bars on the Usage section reflect the current state of the club and update automatically |
| Billing toggle is display-only | Switching between Monthly and Yearly tabs only changes displayed prices — it does not change the billing cycle until a new plan is purchased |
| Renews on date (paid plans only) | The renewal date is shown only for Pro and Premium — Free plan does not show a renewal date |
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to my data if I cancel my Pro plan?
Your club data is fully preserved. The plan remains active until the end of your current billing period, then reverts to Free. Existing items that exceed Free limits (e.g. more than 2 tournaments) are retained but you cannot add new ones until usage is within Free limits. Custom Expense Types and Scopes are saved but the Settings → Expenses page becomes inaccessible.
How do I switch from monthly to yearly billing?
On the Subscription page, click the Yearly tab above the upgrade cards to see annual pricing. Then click Upgrade to your target plan on the yearly price. This starts a new yearly subscription and applies the 38% discount.
Why don’t I see Custom Expense Types in my Usage section?
Custom Expense Types and Custom Expense Scopes only appear in the Usage section on Pro and Premium plans. If you are on the Free plan, these rows are not displayed because the feature is not included. Upgrade to Pro or Premium to unlock them.
When does a plan upgrade take effect?
Plan upgrades take effect immediately. As soon as you complete the upgrade, new limits and features are available to all club members without any restart or delay.
Can I upgrade from Free directly to Premium?
Yes. On the Subscription page with a Free plan active, both Pro and Premium upgrade cards are shown. You can click Upgrade to CrickTeams Premium to go directly to Premium without going through Pro first.
What is the difference between Cancel Plan and Manage Billing?
Cancel Plan cancels your subscription at the end of the current billing period. Manage Billing opens the billing portal where you can update your payment method, download invoices and manage billing details without cancelling.
Is there a free trial for Pro or Premium?
CrickTeams does not currently offer a free trial for paid plans. The Free plan provides access to essential features at no cost, and you can upgrade to Pro or Premium at any time.
